Pixel lines on Gimp.

Ok so this is how to make pixel lines on a picture using gimp.
This is for Images 100x100 only. Icon size.
Step 1- Open Gimp and your image.
(I will be using this site model)
Step 2 - Save this picture to you computer.
Step 3- Open the above^ image as a new layer to your picture.
Step 4- Crop the pixel lines to the size of your image. Its probably 5 pixels to big on each size.
Step 5- Lower the opacity. The lower, the lighter the line, the higher, the darker the lines.
(i set mine really low so the lines are light.
Step 6- Merge the layers together. Right click your top layer to do this.
Voila! Your final product...
Have fun with your pixel lines.

Yeah, i don`t like that way at all though because they turn out way to bright and to dark so it dullens out the image. In my opinion they are to gritty also.

Yes. And you can make it really dark or really light, or in the middle. I want to add some photoshop guides but my trial ended. So I have to wait until I buy it.

Depends on the type. I think I'm just going to get elements 10, which is $100. But the newest one is CS5 I think, and it costs around $700.

Yeah, elements is really good. I would get that. I have CS5 and CS2, I got a discount though on CS5.

Lucky. It was good when I had the trial. I think elements will be good for me with being new to photoshop because I only used half the functions on CS5. It was like baby steps because I was using everything on gimp.

Yeah, Some people say elements is better than CS5. I'm not sure it's true though.

I don't think so. I just think I will use more of the functions since its more simpler than CS5.

I know. I also want that Wacom tablet with it built in. It's like your basically getting a free photoshop.
